taking pictures

This is my favorite picture I took on concert duty this summer. This is Karen Slack, a guest vocalist for our 4th of July concert, Cincinnati Pops: Red White and Boom

When I was on assignment at one of the outdoor concerts, I usually had the department camera to take pictures to post on the Cincinnati Pops facebook page. It was sometimes really tiring being on my feet to get a few good photos from the night, but I always liked having a few good shots to bring back to the office.

I would always laugh when patrons asked if I was "with the press." At a few of the concerts, there were hired or press photographers there too. THEY knew I wasn't a professional photographer (most obvious sign: I always used the LED display. They use the viewfinder.)

But I always had fun.
